RISK OF USING INPROPER TECHNIQUES IN SHOWER AND BATH AREAS

When planning a reconstruction or building a new bathroom it is very important to think not only about the design but also about the practical side of things - and that is the key issue - the surfaces must be fully functional.

In our market, there are many techniques used in bathrooms and shower areas but the vast majority of them need to be painted with varnish during the final adjustments.  Although the varnished surface can withstand exposure to water, the problem usually arises at the connection of the walls to the floor. Unfortunately, no sealing elastic sealant lasts forever and when the sealant no longer fulfill its function, the water begins to rise from the bottom of the rear-lacquered layer. This creates wet maps and in the next phase it creates blisters which subsequently fall apart. A final impression, as well as the functionality is irretrievably lost.

You can find many bathrooms, on web presentations, designed from Pandomo, Venetian stucco and other absorbent materials. In our professional opinion, it is a big mistake. Such bathrooms are nice only after completion. Manufacturers of these techniques  do not recommended these surfaces to be used in locations such as showers – and we believe that they certainly know why.
For other surfaces in bathrooms, outside of shower and bath area, various surfaces can be used.
